Li’l dog
Reading this post on Glenda Larke’s blog reminded me of when we (me, M, and Paco) were stopped by a little boy who wanted to pat Paco. On the weekend:
Little boy: Oh, he’s so cute! Can I pat him?
Us: [beaming] Sure!
Little boy: He’s got such big eyes, he must be nocturnal. He’s nocturnal, isn’t he?
Me: Ummm…
Little boy: Is he nocturnal?
Me: No, he sleeps at night, like we do.
Little boy: Oh…
M: He’s a dog… No, please don’t pick him up! [Boy has Paco in his clutches. Puts Paco down.]
I love the logic. Nocturnal animals have big eyes. Paco has big eyes, therefore must be nocturnal.

We had a great time at the annual Curtin Info Studies Alumni Quiz Night last night, even if we only managed fourth place…

Last Sunday was a beautiful day for a walk. Specifically, the annual Million Paws Walk.

Paco had a wonderful time.

He enjoyed being with so many dogs, even if he did get slightly overwhelmed at the drink station, where lots of the bigger dogs were very enthusiastic when having a drink of water.
Who’s excited??!
Paco even jumped into the river at one point, while watching the golden retrievers retrieve sticks. It looked such fun, he forgot that he normally dislikes getting wet… Seconds after I took this photo he jumped in - and jumped out again quick smart. I love the expression on his face!
Walk’s end
We walked the entire 5km or so of the walk. At walk’s end Paco was still energetic and keen to say hello to other dogs!
