Winter scarf

This past winter I wore lots of scarves. M can attest to the fact that I have gone scarf crazy.

At work I wore interesting scarves; at home I tended to wear one particular scarf, a very old worn and faded Indian cotton scarf that was ever so soft and very comfortable. On cold days I wrapped it around my head and was surprised at how much warmer that made me feel.

As it warms and we head into summer I think I am going to miss wearing my scarves.

I have been eyeing off that allo scarf, but I thought it would be too pale for me. Was it very soft and lovely? (They had a green jacquard shawl I was going to buy this winter, but it wasn’t in the catalogue – sob!)

The allo scarf isn’t soft soft but is lovely nonetheless. It’s very warm!

Oh and the jacquard shawl – do you mean this one?

Yes, that’s it! How embarrassing. Thanks for finding it for me, CW!

I have found that I’m generally much warmer if I keep the top of my head covered. This seems to hold true even if I’m wearing a t-shirt; I warm up substantially when I put a beanie on. The beanie keeps the hot air locked in :-)

I’ve become a fan of the pashmina- although I think a lot of my big scarves qualify to be pashminas- such versatility in one garment!- and small to pack/carry around than a jumper/jacket.
