This past winter I wore lots of scarves. M can attest to the fact that I have gone scarf crazy.
At work I wore interesting scarves; at home I tended to wear one particular scarf, a very old worn and faded Indian cotton scarf that was ever so soft and very comfortable. On cold days I wrapped it around my head and was surprised at how much warmer that made me feel.
As it warms and we head into summer I think I am going to miss wearing my scarves.
Yesterday was a fine, warm day - perfect for bathing the dogs.
The chihuahuas require a minimum of grooming and are very easy to keep clean, usually. After some months they do start to smell a bit doggy, and a bath is an easy remedy.
Peppi went first. She fits easily in the laundry sink. She doesn’t really protest and usually just stands stock still as soon as the water hits her. (Shock?)
Paco stood at the entrance to the laundry and watched. He refused to get too close.
When M picked Paco up for his turn the look of horror on his face was obvious. However, there was not a lot he could do to get away.
If dogs cried, I think Paco might have wailed.
Still, Paco’s patience and lack of complaining was admirable.
Actually, both dogs are very good. “It will be over soon.”
Still-damp Peppi came to watch the proceedings.
I thought it was surprising that she was willing to come right in - you would have thought she would have kept her distance!
Paco loves being rubbed dry.
He sighs and sighs.

After the horrors everyone enjoyed a quiet moment in the sunshine.
We went for a walk in the park. I think both dogs have forgotten all about their baths now.
Excuse the funny formatting!

It’s been a lovely sunny weekend so far, and the chis have been enjoying it.
