Not.
This last weekend was mostly spent in bed or on the couch, with a dog for company. Not with M, because he was afflicted with the same illness and had the other dog with him, in the bed or on the couch.
It started off as a cough, which turned into a painfully sore throat accompanied by fever and assorted aches and pains all over. The cough remained constant.
Smile (or, Us in Healthier Times)
I didn’t go to work on Friday because I was too wretched and feverish, and today, Monday I feel somewhat more human but still weak and with occasional attacks of dizziness, and my torso hurts, probably from all the spluttering. So I am not at work today either. The last of the paper has yet to be done
I think M has had it somewhat worse than me, with more fever. I think having a tiny dog resting under his chin or nestled in his armpit throughout was good for his soul- if not particularly efficacious against the illness. Me, I had Paco leaning against me throughout. Very comforting.
I’m glad dogs cannot get human upper respiratory tract infections or our household would have had to be cordoned off as a biological hazard.
