in holiday.
Christmas was fine, if a bit tiring. Lots of good food, and I enjoyed seeing everyone in the family.
To recover from it all, I’ve just had a very lazy couple of days, where the most strenuous thing I did was get myself together to go out for lunch. I’ve been having a break from the computer, lying around reading pulp fantasy (in the form of James Barclay’s Chronicles of the Raven series), napping, watching M play The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and napping some more. My main chore today: making a salad for a barbecue this evening.
Hurray for holidays!
Right: Baubles the Cat, on her way to bed.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
May you have lots of good food, good company and good cheer!
M’s gone to the deli on his unicycle, to buy me some fizzy mineral water. I’m all hot from baking.
Take a pile of ingredients.
Measure, mix, cut out, pop into oven. Voila!
Thank you to
Kathryn and her co-pilot for the lovely gift, which arrived safely in the post yesterday - the perfect gingerbread man cutter! There it is in the picture just next to the cooling rack. See the gingerbread men? The zanier, more interesting ones were decorated by M. My favourite one is the
KISS gingerbread man. I’ve got another batch to make, which I think I will leave to M to decorate.
Update, Christmas Day:

Some of the finished gingerbread men.
Top row, left to right: Batman, Mario, Harry Potter.
Bottom row: Bob the Builder, Adam, Charlie Brown.
